Use of Information Provided for Clinical Trial Opportunities:

Personal information that is voluntarily entered into this site or provided to us via telephone or email will only be used by Wake Research.  Our policy is to maintain all personal information as confidential and to use it only for the purpose for which it was obtained.

Wake Research never shares or sells your personal information with any company or organization. From the time of your entrance into a clinical trial, you will only be identified by initials and a unique number to parties outside of Wake Research that are participating in the conduct of the study.  Your non-identifiable medical information will be given only to the sponsor of the trial and their employees or contractors and will only be used for study purposes.

By registering with us, you give us permission to contact you, using the contact information given, regarding enrolling studies that may be of interest to you based on the data that you provided.  We may contact you periodically when we find one or more studies in the future that we feel you may be interested in and may qualify for.  The information submitted by you is safely stored in a secure database that is protected from unauthorized access.

Personal information we may process includes:

  • Names, postal or e-mail addresses, fax numbers, and phone numbers
  • Communication preferences
  • Information on Health conditions
  • Protected health information (PHI) included in medical records.

Use of Information of Wake Research Clients:

Wake Research obtains personal information of Clients or potential Clients that is disclosed or otherwise processed by Wake Research upon entering into and performing agreements and making and receiving payments under agreements. We also may obtain Client personal information from public sources in anticipation of a prospective business relationship.

We use a variety of public sources to collate information about potential Clients we believe may be suitable for our Services.

We may receive information from third parties, this could include Practices or Treatment Centres providing a list of patients who may be interested in participating in clinical trials. 

Information we may share:

Wake Research does not sell, rent, or trade individual’s personal information. We may share your personal information only with:

  • Affiliates of M3 to whom it is reasonably necessary or desirable for to disclose the personal information
  • Service providers that Wake research has retained to perform services on its behalf, such as, but not limited to, IT service providers. Service providers are not permitted to use the personal information for their own purposes and are prohibited from onward transfer of the personal information without our written consent in each instance
  • Law enforcement and other government authorities if required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others or us. This includes lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements
  • Our clients or carefully selected partners, which will, where possible be anonymised or pseudonymised data only.

Retention of Personal Information:

Wake Research will store personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collect the information, except if required otherwise by law.

In order to manage its business, Wake Research may need to retain limited personal information for longer periods of time. We have carefully limited the personal information retained and the circumstances in which it is needed to the following:

  • Requests by individuals not to be contacted by Wake Research
  • Individuals who have objected to Wake Research processing their personal data
